Welcome to our Wild Camping Nights!
What is a Wildnight?
Our Wildnights are an introduction to camping for the family. The event is suitable for families with children over the age of 3. We cannot accommodate children younger than this or family pets. The event involves a camping experience which resembles wild camping but with the comforting knowledge that access to toilets and civilisation (via your car) is only a short walk away. There are Rangers to assist you and you are sharing the night with other families.
Dates Announced for May & June

Do’s & Don’ts:
? DO enjoy the communal campfire – we have one large, central campfire with logs available. You are welcome to come and sit around the fire, toast marshmallows and enjoy the experience of a real campfire. Once the evening has begun, feel free to roll the logs away and put camp chairs in their place, allowing for more space.
? DO observe campfire safety – we ask that you only walk on the outside of the circle of logs. Please brief your children personally on observing these rules. Also keep and BBQs or fire pits at least 3m from any tent.
? DO allow your children to play nearby – they can easily get restless before any of the events, or dinnertime, has started.
x DON’T leave your children unattended – exceptions to this are if the Rangers are present, the campfire is unlit or they are playing during day light.
x DON’T unnecessarily poke the campfire – this may cause sparks which can put holes in tents, clothing & can burn hair.
x DON’T light ground fires – no individual ground fires allowed but portable fire pits are welcome. Personal ground fires are a risk to the woodlands, leave scorch marks and eventually will kill tree roots near to the fire.
x DON’T collect firewood from the forest (and specifically do not burn the den building material)- it’s damp and will cause smoking.
x DON’T bring boom boxes/stereos etc. – we do, however, welcome banjos, guitars, violins and good singers for campfire entertainment.
x DON’T forget to bring something nice to drink – for around the campfire!
Please note that there are no refunds for cancellation, the event will go ahead even in poor weather, and we will not change your date of booking because of this. In the event we cancel your booking for any reason a full refund will be given. If you decide to give or sell your tickets to others, in the event of being unable to attend, we will have no involvement in these payments, but you must advise us of the changes to the booking once completed.
