Our highly motivated and enthusiastic ranger team is keen to make your visit an enjoyable experience. It is their aim to promote an understanding and appreciation of the natural environment providing advice and information when needed. They welcome feedback, both positive and negative, which helps us to ensure continuous development of the estate and to maintain a high standard.
Throughout the year (see our calendar of events) the rangers organise a variety of interesting and informative events for visitors, as well as supplying a wide range of topics for groups, school and nursery visits.
Whether your visit is for some fresh air, to get away from it all, a place for the kids to let off some steam, a venue for a family picnic, BBQ, birthday party, or just to take the dog for a walk they will provide a warm welcome for you. When you leave the estate, their aim is to ensure you have been fully accommodated.
Specific ranger-led events such as Den Building, Mini beast hunts, nature walks or Animal experiences may be booked through the visitor centre. These are offered to schools and nurseries but are also popular at children’s parties and can be adapted depending on your needs.
