"I am writing to thank you and all the staff
at the estate for the help & support given to
me during my work experience placement
recently. I really enjoyed the placement and
found it quite interesting as I learned a great
amount about the duties of a Ranger and the
running of the country estate. It gave me a real
insight into the working world and can hopefully
help me with my choices in the future. Thanks for
your help and guidance."
Fraser, Greenock Academy
"Thank you very much for the opportunity you
gave me while I was on my work placement at
Finlaystone. I particularly enjoyed path work
because I got to use a lot of tools and I got a lot
of exercise. I learned that having a gardening job
takes a lot of effort and hard work. I was surprised
how big the estate was"
Scott, St Stephen’s High School
"Thank you very much for letting me spend a week
with you and your staff on work placement. I had a
great time and learnt a lot about the work you do
and about the outdoors. All the support given to
me throughout the week was lovely. Working at
Finlaystone was very interesting and it was
a wonderful experience"

"Just wanted to say a big thank you to Paul (Ranger)
and Frances (Cafe) for making our daughter Abigail's party
on Saturday a big success. The girls all had a great time
and it really was something different for a party. The
food was lovely (masses of it as well) and the den building
went down well with the girls. They had fun later in
afternoon going round all the other activities.
We were made to feel most welcome and we will
certainly be recommending it to others. Thanks again
to all who made it a special day."
Jenny Dougall
"Fab day out, best laugh I've had in ages. Amazing
activities, Chris the ranger was fantastic, if it weren't
for him we would have lost half our team in the woods.
I would totally recommend Finlaystone to everyone
of all ages."
Elizabeth Paterson
"Great day out, even though we got lost in the trees.
Chris the ranger had a laugh with us. Would recommend
to family and friends "

"Thank you for a lovely afternoon on your estate.
It was a pleasant experience in these modern times
to come away from a place such as yours and not feel
as though we had been robbed by the prices charged or
bullied by jobs-worth's in yellow jackets.
What a wonderful, friendly, relaxed and uncomplicated
ambiance you've created for the public to enjoy.
Keep up the good work. Thanks you very much.
We'll be back."

"My name is Fiona Robertson and I am a teacher at
Heriot Primary School in Paisley. My Class (Primary 3/4)
visited Finlaystone on Tuesday 24th June and I am
writing to say thank you for such an enjoyable day. You
were great with the children, put them at ease straight
away and made learning fun for them! The children all
agree it was their "best trip ever" so thanks again for
such a lovely day!"

"I thought I would email you to let you know that me
and my friends had a wonderful day at your park. We
were amazed by the beautiful gardens and wildlife it
attracted, well done to the gardeners they have done a
brilliant job. I have sent a couple of photos from our
visit, hop you like them. If you would like to see some
more please feel free to drop me an email. Thanks
again

"Living in Greenock for 39 years I along with my sister
and son visited yesterday and was astounded by this
beautiful estate on our doorstep I commute every day
by Finlaystone and have never been in. Everything
from the children’s play areas to the walks, lovely
gardens and excellent lunch in the cafe means I along
with my son and sister will be back very soon.
Thank you for a lovely day"

"As it wasn't actually raining on Sunday, we came over
to Finlaystone, our first time - the snowdrops were quite
spectacular. We bought three wee pots, which is a
start...(and had some delicious lentil soup) Great place,
will the grandchildren when they come to visit."
Fran Scott
"Just wanted to say thank you on behalf of the group for
the fantastic day that we had on Friday. We really
appreciated having the laundry set aside for lunch, and
'Captian Black' did a really good job helping us find the
treasure! A wonderful day was had by children and
adults and we will certainly recommend you to others.
Good luck for the rest of the season"
Anne King, on behalf of Kangarhu Preschool
"Last Monday I brought a friend with me to see the
snowdrops at Finlaystone. After a wonderful
afternoon I discovered that I had dropped my
car keys somewhere on the estate. I just want to
thank you for organising a search party in the way
that you did. Happily the keys were found and your
kindness will be remembered every time the tale is told.
We will return to see your other treasures."
