Our highly motivated and enthusiastic Rangers are keen to make your visit an enjoyable experience. It is their aim to promote an understanding and appreciation of the natural environment providing advice and information when needed. They welcome feedback, both positive and negative, which helps us to ensure continuous development of the estate and to maintain high standards.
Throughout the year the Rangers organise a variety of interesting and informative events for visitors, as well as supplying a wide range of topics for group, school & nursery visits. Whether your visit is for some fresh air, to get away from it all, a place to let the kids let off some steam, a venue for a family picnic, barbecue or birthday party, or just take the dog for a walk they will provide a warm welcome for you. When you leave the estate you will feel you’ve had a very special day.
Volunteers
We are delighted that several volunteers regularly contribute to the upkeep of the woods and gardens. We also enjoy the regular support of participants from the Duke of Edinburgh Award’s Scheme, local Scout & other groups. All such support is greatly appreciated and many essential tasks are undertaken. Anyone who wishes to become part of the Finlaystone Volunteer team is most welcome to join us. Why not try a ‘Conservation Day’ for a day and see what’s involved?
