RSPB Big Garden Bird Watch 2018

We have joined forces with RSPB Loch Winnoch to help with the Big Garden Birdwatch 2018.  This will run Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th.
This is a national wide bird survey to help to identify which species of birds are doing well in numbers, those that aren’t and how we can help them.

Walk with our Ranger Team 1pm – 3pm to the hotspots to identify and count the bird species that live here on the estate.
You can also collect the RSPB identification charts from Visitor Centre throughout the day for a self-led walk.

“The Big Garden Birdwatch is a brilliant citizen science project, and has given the RSPB loads of data about our garden birds for the last 39 years. Over half a million-people counted the birds in their garden or local green space last year and in 2018 we’re hoping for even more! Going along to an organised event can give you the knowledge and confidence to identify the birds you might see before you go home, put your feet up and count your own garden birds! For your free Big Garden Birdwatch pack, which includes a bird identification chart, plus RSPB shop voucher and advice to help you attract wildlife to your garden, text BIRD to 70030 or visit rspb.org.uk/birdwatch.” Hannah Sharratt, Warden, RSPB Loch Winnoch
